When I was an avid Firefox user, I made a habit of using the “New Tab” button. However, after switching to Mac I logically switched to Safari (mostly for its snappiness and consistent interface), which does not have an equivalent button. Rather than risk stability with a pay-for extension, I modified Safari using Apple’s Developer Tools. This mod converts Safari’s “Add Bookmark” button to a “New Tab” button. Read more »
